OLLY Smoothies: Everyday and On-the-Go! Now that Jonah is back to school, Fall Ball baseball is starting back up, and Mr. Ollie Blue is a 1 year old on the move, (and did I mention I like a crazy person signed up to be a room parent), life is busier than ever. On top of it, I’m still incredibly intent on losing the last bit (if you can call 20 lbs “a bit”) of baby weight. Believe it or not, it seems that the busier I get, and the more stressed out I am, the more hyper-focused I am on what I’m eating. I suppose this is a good thing—like, I ...Read More
When it comes to party planning, in my opinion, one of the most important details is the very first thing that people see: The Invitation! To me, the invitation sets the tone. Everything from color, shape, texture, and wording dictates what kind of an event your going to have and how people should feel about it. Granted, I’m one of those freaks who notices every detail down to the stamp placement (and if it coordinates with the theme of the event), so I realize that my opinion is slightly skewed, but still… This is is one area that I wasn’t willing to go anti-bridezilla on. From the moment Peter asked me ...Read More

“Annie” themed Birthday Party. Age 6.  Growing up, almost every birthday party I ever had was at the same park. In fact, to this day, we call that park (a park I take my son to play at frequently), the “birthday party park.” While you might think a birthday party at a park is a standard fête, let me tell you: You don’t know my mom, and you certainly don’t know the kind of parties this woman knows how to throw. Entertaining always seemed natural for my mom. Every spread (even the simplest) seemed elaborate… Colors were coordinated, food was themed, delicious, and plentiful, décor and tables were precise and exquisite, and all ...Read More

Oh, hello there. Hi. Hey. What’s up. Remember me? GOOD. I know…. been a while since I’ve posted anything. I’m well overdue for a story about Jonah and his questions or my unshaven legs (though I must say, shockingly, they’re actually quite smooth these days. Jonah on the other hand… his questions are still incessant). Anyway… What exactly have I been doing that has taken me away from all things perfectly disheveled? I don’t entirely know. But I know I’ve been BUSY. I’ve got a pile of mail, a slew of phone calls to returns, an inbox of of unread emails, and a dozen shows that are on the brink ...Read More
I must confess: Up until last week, though I was fairly interactive and engaged in conversations through social media, I never considered my “followers” my actual friends. Sure, I told them about the silly fart and poop talk my 3 yo spews, but would I tell them about the serious conversation I have with my loved ones? NO. Sure, I uploaded adorable pictures of us having a lovely Mommy & Me baking session, but would I share a picture or video of him tantruming and me losing my mind? NO. Sure, I’ve declared how hard I worked out, but would I declare how much weight I want to lose? NO. ...Read More
Tori Spelling is seriously one cool chick. She’s fashionable, funny, and what I consider to be the best multi-tasker on the planet. From television, to books, to her handsome husband, to her most prized possessions, Liam and Stella, it seems like there’s nothing she can’t do. I’m excited to share an interview I did with Tori for my friends at Red Tricycle. Check it out! — As most of us scratch our heads amidst work deadlines, packing lunches, soccer games, and the occasional date night (huh?), wondering where in the world they sell that magical pill called “Balance,” there is one mom who seems to be able to manage it all…and then ...Read More
