#TrashCrashers @GetGlad Party You know what they say: One woman’s trash, is another woman’s treasure! And it when it comes to my friends and their wardrobes, we’re talking treasure troves! This past month, I had the opportunity to partner with Glad® to host a party of my choice for 15 of my friends. To me a perfect party with the girls includes wine, cocktails, gossip, delicious food, more cocktails, (more food), and if possible fashion. So I figured a clothing swap party was the perfect setting to get all of those elements and then some. Glad’s® longstanding, 28 year partnership with Keep America Beautiful (KAB), has made it a mission to engage individuals to ...Read More

As a person who likes to party and entertain, you can imagine how over the moon I am about the fact that I’m engaged (to the man of my dreams, no less), and get to plan THE party of a lifetime. Weddings are no easy feat. I realize this. However, thanks to Pinterest and all things bridal, I’ve gathered dozens of ideas, inspirations, and, of course, DIY projects that I’m bursting at the seams to do. The summer is ...Read More

About a month ago, we moved from a unit in our building to another unit in our building. The upside to the move: bigger space, extra bedrooms, a chance to start fresh (hello, DIYprojects!), and a gorgeous rooftop deck. The downside to the move: moving. Let’s face it, even if you’re moving 200 feet, moving is tough and requires a lot of planning and patience. That’s where a good party comes in. When one thinks of summer, outdoors, and food, the ...Read More
Short of a lavender herb garden, my own chickens, and 400 plus staff members, I’m slowly fulfilling my dream to become Martha Stewart. Like really slowly. So maybe I’m not quite up to par with said queen of it all, but these days my juices are flowing and my DIY doin’ is at an all time high. New home = new projects. Lots and lots o’ them. Over the next few weeks and months, I’ll be sharing some highlights from these different projects and events.  Here is a video that I recently shot for Lifetime Moms on how to create burlap monogrammed art. So easy and makes a great gift! >

If you asked most of my girlfriends what would be their idea of the “perfect night,” I think most of them would say, (in this order): “Babysitter or Husband puts kids to sleep, get together with best girlfriends, drink wine and eat delicious food… and someone else does the cleaning.” Well lucky for them, I got to facilitate that night… And pretty much in that order.  I decided that hosting a girls’ night of ...Read More

“Annie” themed Birthday Party. Age 6.  Growing up, almost every birthday party I ever had was at the same park. In fact, to this day, we call that park (a park I take my son to play at frequently), the “birthday party park.” While you might think a birthday party at a park is a standard fête, let me tell you: You don’t know my mom, and you certainly don’t know the kind of parties this woman knows how to throw. Entertaining always seemed natural for my mom. Every spread (even the simplest) seemed elaborate… Colors were coordinated, food was themed, delicious, and plentiful, décor and tables were precise and exquisite, and all ...Read More
