Food Loves Milk: Awesome After School Snacks You know those kids who only eat basic foods… You know the ones that will happily eat a PB&J sandwich for lunch every day and macaroni and cheese for dinner every night? Yeah, that’s not my kid. MY kid is a foodie. There’s no such thing as basic! This is a kid who will try anything– there’s no such thing as too spicy, too saucy, or too sweet. He’s got an adventurous appetite and it’s awesome! But… it’s also hard. How does one please a child who’s palette is on par with Anthony Bourdain but is only 8! and needs wholesome, healthy, food to help him ...Read More
Right now I’m on a meal planning kick. I’m not just focusing on dinners though. Instead, I’ve got my mind on lunches– trying to come up with easy ways to continue to eat clean (when I’m not eating “Klean”) and not just grab a handful of pretzels and hummus and call it a lunch. Working from home, it’s pretty easy to graze- this is an issue I know for a lot of moms both working and stay at home. So in an effort to fight the cabinet-calling monsters and eat well-balanced meals, I’ve been scouring Pinterest for inspiration and ideas. One of the recent pins I saw was for a crock ...Read More
I’m pretty sure at some point since the inception of Perfectly Disheveled, I’ve confessed how every now and again (every time) I go to Traders Joe’s (or Costco… or Whole Foods… or any supermarket, really), I hope and pray that there is some sort of “stample,” as Jonah calls it, being given out.  Luckily, there’s a TJ’s in my hood and I can always guarantee that no matter what time I’m there, there will be a jolly guy with a beard serving up some sort of brilliant, but totally funky concoction. Fried rice with honey and spinach feta balls?  Who knew?! A few weeks ago, they were giving out samples of ...Read More
What post plastic perfection seeking looks like. This past year, I’ve had the privilege of working with some incredible brands and partners on various campaigns. While a lot of my editorial content has been tied up in these various campaigns, this blog is still very much dedicated to telling candid stories, sharing ideas for DIY projects, fashion favorites, recipes, and more. By the end of the year, I plan to give this blog a complete face lift and makeover (if only under-eye cream worked that fast), which I’m super excited about and very much ready for. When I speak with web designers and marketing teams, or am out and meet new people (or my ...Read More
Last week, eBay introduced a new feature which allows user to browse through handpicked products, grouped together in “Collections”curated experts, celebrities, bloggers, and… me! Similar to a Pinterest board, curators can aggregate whatever item(s) they’re digging within a certain genre, and users can follow us, and of course, purchase an item they might see on one of our collections. As a user myself, I’m on eBay all the time these days, scouring for just about everything (wedding related). But there are actually items that have nothing to do with “the big day” and are just things that I think are awesome or need… BPA free Containers for my ...Read More
