In exactly one week from today, I will be in a little speed boat traveling along the Amalfi Coast with a stop for seaside lunch at Lo Scoglio and a dip in the Emerald Grotto. I’ve been told that wanting to pry ourselves from our hotel in Ravello, Palazzo Avino, will be nearly impossible… But with only 4 days in this gorgeous region of Italy, I want to try to see as much as possible… and relax as much as possible…. and eat as much as possible…
As mentioned in a previous post, to say that I’ve been mildly obsessed with carving out the culinary portion of the trip would be ...Read More

Don’t get me wrong, I love summer and I looooove the summer wardrobe options. But Fall…? Fall is … fall is romantic. Fall is fashion. Fall is an excuse to shop. (I made that one up). I’m not saying that my trip to Haiti was brave. I’m just saying that it made me worry. Until I saw the children. As always, children change everything.
Day 1
When I was first contacted by Susan Pocharski, Entertainment Director at Ladies’ Home Journal, asking me if I’d like to join them, CrocsCares, and Feed the Children for a trip to Haiti to deliver shoes to school children, I was beyond honored and thrilled. In addition, I was going to be traveling with Real Housewife of New York, Countess LuAnn de ...Read More
So the word around town these days is that more and more families are opting to take “stay-cations,” rather than yes, you guessed it VAAAAAAAY-cations. Okay, to be completely fair, I don’t really actually know for certain that more families are doing this… I mean, I haven’t seen a statistic or poll on this, BUT given the general state of our economy (which, feel free to email me and actually explain what the eff is happening to our economy and why Wall Street is crumbling. Hi, I majored in theater.), taking a stay-cation with your family actually seems like a wise and quite lovely choice. Recently, I shot this ...Read More
A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to fly to Toronto for a behind the scenes set visit of the family friendly, made for TV movie “Change of Plans,” produced and sponsored by Walmart & P&G.; I was quite honored to be asked to come to travel to Canada, (the home of my beloved Michael Buble) just to see what was doin’ on set and meet the stars- Joe Flannigan and American Idol’s Brooke White. (You know one of those just super natural, super sweet, super pretty, perfect wavy hair that doesn’t frizz, cute hoarse voice type people– Yah that’s her.) Anyway, the hosts from P&G;, Walmart and MS&L; ...Read More
