In exactly one week from today, I will be in a little speed boat traveling along the Amalfi Coast with a stop for seaside lunch at Lo Scoglio and a dip in the Emerald Grotto. I’ve been told that wanting to pry ourselves from our hotel in Ravello, Palazzo Avino, will be nearly impossible… But with only 4 days in this gorgeous region of Italy, I want to try to see as much as possible… and relax as much as possible…. and eat as much as possible… As mentioned in a previous post, to say that I’ve been mildly obsessed with carving out the culinary portion of the trip would be ...Read More
From summer reading lists to summer activities for the kids to summer wardrobe essentials for us, there sure are a lot of must haves. While it would be nice to build that fort, or read that book, or wear that dress, it’s not always possible. (As if summer break actually means take a break for moms). Ahh, those were the good ‘ol craft-tastic pre wedding frenzy days. Now, a lonely bunch of peonies sit in a mason jar atop the dining room table… which is now home to honeymoon central. (More on that later!) There are still so many details, DIY how-to’s and photos of ...Read More
A #100HappyDays #bathroomselfie I’m a worrier… Always have been and, well, unless the Dalai Lama shows up at my doorstep with zen-like wisdom strong enough to knock the bejesus out of the anxiety that makes up this 37-year old, Jewish white female, the chances are I always will be. So… For better or for worse: I’m a worrier.  And it’s part of what makes me me. Sometimes, and I mean soooooometimes, worry does come in handy… I mean… It makes me a great planner, organizer, and problem solver. It makes me pay close attention to my body, my health and that of my loved ones too. It makes me detailed, curious, and super ...Read More
