Let it Snow at the Four Seasons Westlake!
Last weekend my cute crew and I headed to the Four Seasons Westlake for their annual ‘Let it Snow’ holiday event. A family favorite year after year, the ‘Let it Sow’ event features a holiday wonderland with festive bounce houses, train rides, professional photos with Santa, cookie decorating and more. Oliver went completely nuts for the “More” portion: ELMO and COOKIE MONSTER. Need I say more? (Literally). No seriously, brilliant move on the event team’s part— nothing says holiday happiness more than those two characters. They don’t even need to be dressed in an ugly holiday sweater. That’s how loved they are.

My Body, My Motivation: Thanks, Kim Kardashian.
Me. Honeymooning in Santorini, Greece.June 2014
I want to hate Kim Kardashian for recently posting a naked selfie (that she admits is not even of her post baby body), but I can’t. In response to the uproar over her breaking the internet yet again, Kim writes “I am empowered by my body, I am empowered by my sexuality. I am empowered by feeling comfortable in my skin. I am empowered by showing the world my flaws and not being afraid of what anyone is going to say about me. And I hope that through this platform I have been given, I can encourage the same ...Read More
Wedding, you say? What wedding? Please, I’ve moved on to Honeymoon. In just a few weeks, Peter and I will be heading to Italy and Greece for a two week carb-tastic, black-sanded, three coins in the fountain type adventure. Thanks to guidance from Katie Frederick of Ever After Honeymoons, we’ll start our trip on the Amalfi Coast, then Rome, then to the island of Santorini, where ultimately I will explode from 12 days of pasta, pizza, and wine (all at breakfast)…. I mean, when I tell you that I am planning our entire trip based on food and when/where we’ll eat, this is no joke. But while I’m not obsessing ...Read More
I’m a girl who likes a plan. I thrive on order and system. A Virgo through and through, there is no detail “too detailed” and no perfecting “too perfect.” So you can imagine how out of my little Type A comfort zone I feel right now, battling a head cold. Nine. Days. Before. The. Wedding.
Sniff.
As I sneeze all over the computer typing this and sipping my coffee, (Oh, you thought I’d say “tea,” huh? Yah, right. I’m getting married in 9 days, work full time and have a 6 year old. Coffee it is), I realize that there are actually a few things that I have ZERO control over. And ...Read More
This past weekend, we took a little trip with a bunch of friends also with kiddies to Underwood Family Farms. In Los Angeles, “pumpkin patches” are usually hosted out of a parking lot behind a supermarket, with paparazzi lurking for “Stars, they’re just like us” moments. (God forbid the world shouldn’t know that Marcia Cross also “picks. out. a. pumpkin.”) So when we finally got to Underwood, approx. 50 miles out of town, I have to say I was beyond delighted that this was a far cry from your itty bitty overpriced city pumpkin patch. Nope, this was a full fledged overpriced country farm– replete with real tractors (oh ...Read More
