A few days before the New Year, I asked Peter if he had any resolutions. He was silent. “Babe, any? Any resolutions this year?” “Nope,” he yawned. “I’m good. You?” Ha. Of course he had none. He’s a guy and  well, “perfect.” Me? Well, let’s just say for the next 15 minutes  I carefully dissected myself, my flaws, my hopes and dreams for the new year and how all those things would intertwine, unravel, and shape up to become one perfectly perfect person. On January 6th. Because the 1st was in the middle of the week and no one ever had a fresh start on a Wednesday. So here we are. Officially, January 2014… and I ...Read More
The other day, a friend told me that I’d make the perfect “1965 wife.”  Some women might find this to be offensive, but me, nah… I’m a full time working gal, with a plate so full and a life so busy. So the fact that I cook, clean, raise a child and sit patiently during tackles, touchdowns, and all things end-zone, kinda makes me feel like a badass. While I’m still the “not so queen of it all,” I actually feel proud that I have figured out a way to be “domestic” too. It may not look perfect, it may not always be pretty, but I can certainly try to be a little ...Read More
Ladies and gentlemen, it is with great joy that I present to you the new and improved….. Perfectly Disheveled! (The crowd goes wild) Every now and again, we all need to hit the reset and refresh button and PD certainly needed that. From design, to platform (buh-bye Blogger), it was time to take this site to the next level. In addition to how sweet and delicious life is between a 6-year old with two front teeth missing and a fiance that wants to marry me even though I sleep with my mouth open (TMI?), I’ve also had the great opportunity of working with incredible brands this past year and have some wonderful ...Read More
Ho, ho, ho. The Holidays are here and boy, could I used a heavily spiked beverage. While this holiday season is extra sweet because of all the wonderful things that have happened this year, like everyone else, it’s hard not to feel completely overwhelmed as the year winds down. However, it was important to me to send out a holiday card this year to share my gratitude to all of our friends and family. Luckily, I’ve partnered with Minted.com to help make this holiday card process an easy one and will also be working with them on wedding invitations, menus, and programs.   Like I said, I needed to make the process an easy ...Read More
Is this fancy iPhone work, or what?! As if life isn’t hectic enough, (and that doesn’t include wedding planning), I’m hosting Thanksgiving dinner this year for 23 people. Thankfully, everyone is bringing a dish, so all I have to do is cook the turkey (hi, mom), and make the table look pretty (hi, Pinterest). Needless to say, this past week has been a little crazy. In an effort to stay sane (and healthy) during “go, go, go time,” I’ve been leaning on some “go to” recipes that I know I can whip up easily.  Some of my go-tos are meatloaf, crockpot turkey chili, shredded chicken tacos and takeout ...Read More
This year, Thanksgiving and Chanukah are sharing the spotlight. For my family, this means that at 5 o’clock when the turkey coma usually sets in, we’re going to have to rally for a little dreidel and gift exchanging action. This also means that as the Thanksgiving host, (I must be out of my mind to take this on this year), in addition to getting my menu prepped and table decor in line, I’m going to have to going to have to think about gifts about a month sooner than I normally would! As a curator for eBay’s new collections program, I’ve gotten a head start on all the things I want ...Read More
Last week, eBay introduced a new feature which allows user to browse through handpicked products, grouped together in “Collections”curated experts, celebrities, bloggers, and… me! Similar to a Pinterest board, curators can aggregate whatever item(s) they’re digging within a certain genre, and users can follow us, and of course, purchase an item they might see on one of our collections. As a user myself, I’m on eBay all the time these days, scouring for just about everything (wedding related). But there are actually items that have nothing to do with “the big day” and are just things that I think are awesome or need… BPA free Containers for my ...Read More
I am a member of the Collective Bias®  Social Fabric® Community.  This shop has been compensated as part of a social shopper insights study for Collective Bias and their client. #ThisisStyle #cbias Don’t get me wrong, I love summer and I looooove the summer wardrobe options. But Fall…? Fall is … fall is romantic. Fall is fashion. Fall is an excuse to shop. (I made that one up). But honestly, every year, I flip through the “Must Have Fall Fashion” spreads in the magazines and flag virtually every page. “I muuust have that. I neeeed that. I can’t live withouuuuut that.” I usually allow myself one or ...Read More

My 35th Birthday Two years ago from this exact weekend, I decided the best way to celebrate a milestone birthday (my 35th) was to do it with a group of my nearest and dearest girlfriends. Using every last bit of my savings — or checking– depending on how you look at it, (I admit, not one of my wisest moves), we spent the weekend at a nearby resort in an oceanside villa, drinking, laughing, eating, sunning, toasting, cheers-ing, walking, talking, drinking and taaaaawlking some more. It was my treat. My joy. My pleasure. My honor to spend a weekend with a group of women (including my mom and aunt) who were ...Read More
This post is sponsored by Nestlé, which compensated me to partner with California Pizza Kitchen® frozen pizza and share news about the “Adventures in Entertaining” campaign this summer. As a person who likes to party and entertain, you can imagine how over the moon I am about the fact that I’m engaged (to the man of my dreams, no less), and get to plan THE party of a lifetime. Weddings are no easy feat. I realize this. However, thanks to Pinterest and all things bridal, I’ve gathered dozens of ideas, inspirations, and, of course, DIY projects that I’m bursting at the seams to do. The summer is ...Read More
