Screen Shot 2014-09-05 at 1.36.04 PM When it comes to following fashion trends, there are a few sites and blogs that I turn to for inspiration and ideas. (#ootd bathroom selfies not withstanding). But these days, if you asked my Amex (and my husband), there’s one site in particular that gets my “have to have it” heart. Yep… It’s pretty safe to say that Piperlime is my other man. In fact, I confess: I’m kind of a Piperlime style slut. Between Olivia Palermo’s picks, and the other awesome contributors, I feel like I’m always getting great ideas and updates on new arrivals and how to style them together… and sometimes there are even site wide discounts or flash sales. Best days EVER! Btw, you know you are a devout follower and fan when you get 900 emails from a site a day and not only do you not delete, but you open AND click through. People, this is the stuff true love is made of and who ever does their direct mail marketing is a genius and knows how to properly target.

But I digress. Back to Fall Fashion and my dwindling bank account.

Recently, I had some life changes that absolutely warranted a little bit of retail therapy (More on that
soon). Luckily, I’m starting out with a few fab key items like my black leather moto jacket and a great pair of skinny boyfriend jeans, that will work with everything. With a little inspiration from other fashion blogs like Could I Have That, (I’m going to pair the dress with my moto jacket and booties)  I’ve curated some great things for my wardrobe this Fall. The three biggest splurges I made were the Joie Barlow Booties, the Rag & Bone Booties, and the Clare V fold over Leopard clutch.  The Madewell tank is turning out to be one of those purchases that I don’t know how I lived without. I can wear it alone, under a blazer, under a light sweater… I’m obsessed with the sweatshirt from JCrew. There are zippers on the side which will make it a great go-to for layering on a casual day. I’ve gotten a ton of compliments on the Steve Madden Flats as well as the Franco Sarto ones (just couldn’t justify pulling the trigger on the Vince or Jenni Kayne flats).  There’s a couple things in this round up that I still want to get: The Joggers from Old Navy (because, DUH), the fab Schutz heels, and the printed skirt from Piperlime Collection. Otherwise, most of the other items are sitting in my closet, waiting for Los Angeles to cool the f**k down so I can start to dress the goddamn part. Over the next few weeks, I’ll share how I’m putting these items and looks together.

In the meantime, I want to know: Where do you go for fashion inspiration? And more importantly, what are you splurging on this fall? Tell me something… so I don’t feel so guilty! (Okay, fine. I don’t feel that guilty…)
